History

Born a to an Egyptian slave family, Nef's life began shadowed by death. Soon after conception, Soldiers killed his father. His mother died during childbirth. Nef was left in the care of his older sister Anitole. Though it was hard living as a male slave, Nef pushed himself to learn to read and write he also learned stone carving and painting. He matured quickly as did most slave children. If they didn't they would surely die. Nefarious has always been a natural leader and this became evident when he began recruiting a small band of rebels who planned on overthrowing their captures (King Ramses). Unfortunately, before his plan could come to light, a member of his group told a guard who told Prince Moses. Moses and his men destroyed Nef's band but left him alive. They wanted him to live knowing he caused the deaths of his own people. Little did they know Nef had no intention of keeping this band together if they ever did escape. He cared less of their fates; he only wanted his freedom.

His life continued on for many years. Slavery and work the object of his existence. As the bible states in Exodus, Moses soon spoke to God and became the leader of Egypt's Jewish peoples. Nef was on such person freed by Moses. He followed him for years across the desert; he walked through the parted Red Sea. He witnessed the reading of the Ten Commandments. Always looking for an opportunity, Nef saw a chance to become the leader he was born to be. He began spreading rumors that Moses was leading them to death not salvation. His words caused an up-roar in the masses. Many people began following and listening to Nefarious behind the back of Moses. And when God's wrath came, Nef and his followers were already gone from Moses' sheep. He was on his way back to Egypt seeking vengeance for his years of slavery.

Unfortunately or perhaps fortunately for Nef, this return would become the most defining point in his life. It was with this return that he met Anket. Anket was an Egyptian dignitary who happened to be Kindred. She picked him up in the street where he and his group were prostituting themselves out for food and shelter. She had "nefarious" intentions for him, but when it came time to take his life she found she couldn’t. There was something about him that struck her as powerful. He soon became her ghoul and served her for many years. Later in his desired servitude, he was attacked by a band of assimites who aimed at killing Anket. He was near death and she was forced to embrace him into the Kindred world. He was now a Brujah, which suited his rebellious nature perfectly. They lived a highly physical, sexual, rebellious life for many, many years. They soon found themselves living under the rule of Cleopatra.

Anket had a natural hatred for Cleopatra and planned an assassination. She required Nef to whore himself to her and gain her trust, which Nef did quite successfully. He became a live in servant for Cleopatra often used for sexual favors. When it came time do kill Cleopatra, Nef could not go through with it as he had fallen in love with her. Instead he committed a sin against Caine's traditions and murdered his sire and took her blood, rising him closer to the creator. The rest of Nef's brood mates soon got word of this and called for a blood hunt. He was forced to run.

With the blood of his sire and the lust for power, Nef traveled the world for centuries seeking knowledge of his clan, training, and the blood of those more powerful than he. Nef made Diablerie a career for most of his kindred life, and he became good at it. He tore through the generations finding himself an equal of the great Anis and Lameth. He was still very young though and his powers were nowhere near the caliber of the two.

While traveling in Japan, Nef met an ancient medicine man that sent him on a dream journey. In this dream, Nef met his bloodlines antediluvian, troile. He became a trusted companion of Troile and served with him for many years. But more servitude under Troile did not make Nef at all happy. He attacked and destroyed Troile taking his blood and his generation. Nef was now the Antediluvian of the Brujah clan. This dream was so real so powerful that it was taken as truth and Nef moved on in life believing the events took place.

Nef did not find himself in the Americas until the 1800's. The California gold rush era. He moved to Montreal where he became an influential member of the Sabbat. His hit and run murder tactics and battle strategies secured a lot of land for the Sabbat and its cause. Most of Nef's physical life was lived in Montreal where every night brought a new challenge and a new battle. Then the call came.

Santiago Giovanni, a man that Nef owed a favor, called him from New Orleans. He requested that Nef repay the favor he owed. He asked that Nef come to New Orleans to protect a woman whom Santiago couldn’t. At the time Nef was under some major heat from garou and mage populations as well as his Sabbat friends so he agreed to the deal. He moved to New Orleans pretending to be a Camarilla Prince. The woman he agreed to protect (Cryptorchid) later became his second love and first wife. He found that his murderous ways were disappearing while with her. He became someone else. But Nef had weaknesses. He was seduced by a member of his brood and committed adultery. This sparked a series of violent emotional times with Orchid and eventually lead to her suicide. Nef was alone again. That is when he began building his Brujah family to be safe with.

This family has brought him very good times and very dark times. He has been forced to murder some. He has loved and still loves others. Along with his family came a new duty. He became and still is Bishop under the Archbishop Paegan of New Orleans.

Nef has also found a new mate. Reven, a Ravnos gypsy. He found himself staring at her then talking to her and when Reven's brother told him he couldn't, Nef married her. This marriage has been the source of great pain and frustration for Nef but he has found himself caring for Reven more and more. He has decided that he will stick with her despite the added work. And so this brings us to the present….
