Students at Higher Level should be aware that varied use of the tenses will gain them the higher grades and they should, therefore, make a serious attempt at incorporating past and future tenses wherever possible.The questions below could be used as “springboards” but students must remember that in the exam they are expected to take the initiative and the exam should not be a “question and answer” session.

Look at these questions and ask yourself whether you could answer them were they to come up in the speaking examination.
