HALLOWEEN IS A COMIN'

Halloween is a comin'. Spirits began to stir.
Jack-o'-lanterns grin, black cats preen their fur.
Spiders spin artistic webs, bats hang upside down.
Halloween is a comin' to every hamlet and town.

A nippy wind whistles through the trees,
Swooping down to catch fallen leaves.
Its vortex forms a devil swirling across lawns
Sprinkling victims here and yon.

Ghostly images gather in the town square.
An eerie convention they must prepare.
To take place on All Hallow's Eve.
Spirits have been awaiting this special time of year
To celebrate those who have been before
And those who guard the spirit door.

Halloween is a comin'. Spirits begin to stir.
Spirits of those young at heart
and spirits of those who care are the only ones who
may experience that special night where spirits meet
for their annual
