CONFEDERATE MEMORIAL DAY ... APRIL 26TH
PLEASE GIVE THE GRAPHICS AND SOUND TIME TO DOWNLOAD COMPLETELY. THANKS FOR BEING PATIENT.
The month of April has a very special
holiday that only a few still
remember to honor.
It is Confederate Memorial Day April
26th and I choose to honor it with this web site.
UNDYING SPIRIT
BY: KATHRYN M.
RIDLEHOOVER
How proudly they rode out to face the breaking of that
day,
each young lad in the shimmering gold and the stolid
grey.
Their faces were full of hope.
Their hearts full of love.
Knowing that Lorraine was safe
and that God
was up above.
Some had left their furrows unturned.
Their cattle ran astray.
They had gone to war
to bring back the glory of that day.
As they charged over the hill,
their spirit on that morn,
gave hope to the weary
and honor to the unborn.
I can not let radicals of today,
both white and black, stain this hallowed symbol of my forefathers.
The Confederate Battle
Flag represents those who gave their lives, bodies and minds for the rights
of states to govern their people. The state's right to govern itself was
not white surpremacy nor was it to keep slavery as many would have you
believe.
THE CONFEDERATE BATTLE FLAG IS NOT A SYMBOL OF HATE OR BIGOTRY. THIS FLAG OF MY HERITAGE IS NOT SOMETHING ON WHICH TO SPIT OR CURSE OR TO HIDE BEHIND. BUT IT IS TO BE HONORED AND CHERISHED.
THIS FLAG REPRESENTS PART OF THE HISTORY OF
ALL THE PEOPLE OF THAT TIME AND ERA.
LET THOSE OF US WHO CONSIDER THIS
FLAG A SYMBOL OF OUR LOVE FOR THE
SOUTHERN SPIRIT AND THE PEOPLES
OF THE SOUTH CELEBRATE OUR HERITAGE WITHOUT MALICE ON APRIL 26TH.
LET US SHOW THE WORLD THAT THE SOUTHERN SPIRIT IS UNDYING ... SEND THIS URL TO ALL KINDRED SPIRITS.
Brought to you by
A Southerner out West
I would like to hear how you feel.....
