BATTLE OF HORSESHOE
1814 - The Battle of Horseshoe began. The battle is considered to be one of many events that led up to the Creek War and the signing of the Treaty of Fort Jackson, which had the Creeks forfeit over 20-million acres of land to the U.S. in retribution for the War.
