I have even made it kind of a study to know what the different 'flavors' of Christianity are like, what they believe and don't believe and what they practice and don't practice. And I have quite a bit of information on many of the various pseudo 'Christian' groups as well, such as the Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses and Seventh Day Adventists. I also know a great deal about the various forms of new age philosophies and practices as well as Eastern religions because I used to be involved in many of those kinds of things before we were born again. I know from direct experience what many of the new age belifs are and what many of the new age cults teach. But Praise Yahweh, He called me out of darkness into His marvelous light! I am saved by His grace, delivered and filled with his Holy Spirit! And based on His Holy Word in the Bible it has become quite clear that the church of Jesus Christ is really quite different than what most people call the church these days.
Now I have completely renounced all new age and occult activities. In fact I have been known to boldly oppose various cults because of thier blatant false teachings, materialism and hypocrisy. There is only One name by which men can be saved, and that is Yeshua/Jesus. He has been given the name above every other name that can be named. And no one can come to the divine Father and Creator except through relationship with Jesus the Christ. All of these other methods and processes are vanity and are primarily the product of man's greed and ignorance.
