Revelations
A new Watcher, Gwendolyn Post, has been dispatched to tutor Faith and evaluate Giles, who the council belives has become too American. As Faith and Post bond, the relationship between Giles and Buffy is shattered when it's discovered that she has been secretly seeing Angel, who was believed to be gone forever. The gang is furious when Xander reports that he saw the two together at the masion. They are mad at Buffy as they believe Angel to be the same viscious killer he was when they last saw him, and they think she is harboring him and helping him, not knowing he is still evil. They confront Buffy about it in the library and she confesses. Xander later informs Faith of Angel, and they immediately set off to Slay him dead...for good. All the while, Angel has been working with Buffy to destroy the Glove of Mynigon before the demon Lagos can get it and reap the vast power the wearer will possess. Lagos is defeated by Buffy, but another threat still remains, Post who turns out being a fired Watcher because of tampering in the dark studies has been plotting to get the Glove all along as lied to the gang about everything. She arrives at the mansion just before Faith, Buffy and Willow, and as the Slayers duke it out over whether Angel should live or die, Post slips on the Glove, quickly inhereting powers of shooting lightning bolts among other things. Angel scores points by saving Willow's life, but Faith feels foolish for being duped by Post and becomes further withdrawn from the group. Buffy kills Post by throwing a piece of glass cutting off the arm of Post that had the Glove on, as it was the only way. In this episode, we learn that there are twelve cemeteries in Sunnydale.
