Welcome to my watermark tutorial…

First things, first – open up a 300x300 raster layer (transparent)

Click on your text tool a.k.a. “A” and choose a font & color that compliments
you or your artwork. I have chosen mine and am using my Delphi screen name as my text. Size is up to you as well, but I would keep

it smaller than 20 so it doesn’t take away from your artwork. Click “apply.”

As you can see from the screen shot, your layers palette shows the original raster layer

& a vector layer. Go to Selections ? Select All. Do you see marching ants
around your entire box? Good! Go back to Selections ~> Float. Now the marching ants should be surrounding your text.

 delete. The ants should still be around your font.

On your layer palette now right click on your “vector” layer  delete.

All you should see is tha marching ants around your once colored text.

Go to Effects ~> 3D Effects ~> Drop shadow. I would use the preset

vertical -2, horizontal -2, opacity 50, blur 5 in a dark color. Does your shadow

appear to be too faint? That’s okay, you can go to your layer paleete and duplicate your only remaining layer.

If you have chosen to do this, go to Layers ~> Merge ~> Merge Visible.

Now, get your crop tool and minimize the area surrounding your “watermark” and go to file ~> export ~> tube.

Save image in your hard drive’s tube folders. Now you can use your watermark and change

the size of it, just as you can with ANY tube for your original works of art!
