Cognoscenti

Literally those that know. That is, THE ones in THE KNOW.

I am reminded of a quote (ferget who sed it)

  "An intellectual is to intellegence,
    as a gent is to a gentleman"
            -- prob Winston or Mark, Dorthy?

As you "cognoscenti" know:
    winston = winston churchill (or winston seductress in Monty Python's Holy Grail)
    Mark = Mark Twain (or Mark Hamil in Star Wars, or Mark van Doren father of the quiz-show guy)
   Dorthy = Dorthy Parker (or Dorthy in the wizard of oz, or the guy "johnnie" in the movie Air Plane)

Actually, I have my fill of people who try to make things more complicated than
they are. They use a $27 word, where a $3.95 blue-plate special word would do.

The don't make things "concrete", they "reify" them,

They don't "avoid making things confusing", they "eschew obsfuscation".
