I don't ask a lot out of life.

To be able to wake up in the morning (my highest priority).

To go out and do an honest days work.

To spend time with family and friends.

To go to sleep happy and contented.

Not a lot to ask.

Why then do others and by others I mean people and things conspire to upset my way of life, to interfere and annoy me.

Other ideas: Fridge telephone mobile phone queues bus stops, talking, queue jumping, vandals double parking jumble around the house kitchen (sink)

Take for example the humble little yellow post-it note. A little piece of paper that you can jot down an idea, a reminder, or a thing to-do and stick it to whatever is at hand to be a constant visible reminder until you get round to it (or it falls off and disappears forever).

What a great idea, until one day it dawns on you that whatever you have been sticking it to, be it the computer screen, the fridge, the mirror, is covered in yellow post-it notes. Suddenly you find that this innocent little yellow sticker is running your life. You can't function unless you have a note telling you what you should be doing, or where you should be, or why you are where you are.

To make matters worse, your family begin to leave you notes (as if you have not got enough to do coping with your own) or worse still begin adding to yours, wanting you to pick something up while you are there (how do thay know where you'll be?) or wanting you to go somewhere you had no intention of going to.

Hold on a moment, wasn't this supposed to make your life easier, to allow you to write something down and forget about it until you were ready to deal with it.
