Blood Wood has a deep dark red hue to it.
Hence its name sake. It carves very
nicely, and is a very hard wood. It weighs
about 60 lbs per Cu. Ft.
Amererican Black Cherry is light to dark redish
brown, carves well, and finishes very nicely.
It is a moderatly hard wood.
Cocabola Wood is light brown to dark brown.
It is hard to carve, but can be done. Finishes to a
high gloss with a wax, and buffed out.
It is an extreamly hard wood and weighes
75 to 80 Lbs. per Cu. Ft.
Is one of many species of Mahogany found.
Mahogany can be from a deep red to a light brown
in color. Finishes to a fine luster, it is a medium to hard wood.
Carves easily and weighs about 30 to 40 Lbs
per Cu. Ft.
Figgered Walnut can be yellow to dark brown to
almost black in color. It finishes well and carves
good. It is medium to hard, and weighs about
35 to 40 Lbs per Cu. Ft.
Another one of the Mahogany species.
This African Mahogany is very straight
grained and is a light red to medium red in
color when finished. Carves well, and weighs
about 30 Lbs per Cu. Ft.
Padauk is a deep rich dark red in color
and is very hard, as well as difficult to carve, and
finishes well. It weighs about 70 Lbs.
per Cu. Ft.
Purple Heart is a deep purple in color like
it's name. It is very hard and, is hard to
carve but can be done. The wood finishes great.
It weighes about 70 Lbs per Cu. Ft.
Red Heart is very much the same as
Purple Heart. It's a reih red with darker
red grains, also a very hard wood, hard
making it difficult to carve, but finishes well. It weighs
about 70 Lbs. per Cu. Ft.
Zebra Wood is light brown with dark brown
grains in it. This wood is also a very hard wood,
it carves well, and finishes to a good luster.
It weighs about 65 Lbs. per Cu. Ft.
