Painting #53

"Out From the Hopper"

"Out From the Hopper" is painted on an 11" x 14" canvasboard. It was done in February, 2005 for entry into the "Best of the Berkshires" art contest sponsored by the Clark Art Institute in Williamstown, Ma. The contest ran in conjunction with the George Inness exhibit at the museum and was designed to have local artists portray pieces that describe what the Berkshires means to them. Inness painted many works in the Berkshires in the mid-ninteenth century. Works hung in one of the Clark's Galleries until mid April. The painting is for sale, framed, for $200.00
