Painting #36

"The Finish Line"

Finished on May 22, 2004, "The Finish Line" is a painting dedicated to my father. My Dad was an inveterate horse racing fan and when I was younger, I used to accompany him to race tracks on occasion. While I've never developed the need to bet on the horses, I was always stunned by the beauty of the thoroughbreds as they walked in the paddock area at a race track like Saratoga. The painting is 18" x 24" and is is in the collection of Ed Mahler of Lenox, Massachusetts.
