Completed in 1988, "The Western Gateway" is a depiction of the valley connecting North Adams and Williamstown, Ma. from atop the Western Summit of the Mohawk Trail. Again, the theme is an earlier, less complicated time. The painting is 36" x 48" and is in the collection of Dorothy and the late Henry ("Johnnie") Johnson.
