"A Tribute to Donald"

This painting, a 16" x 20" oil on canvas, was occasioned by the tragic, sudden death of a good friend, Don Tassone. Don also loved the outdoors and the serenity of the Berkshires; the world has lost a very good man with Don's passing. While I normally include a bird in my landscapes, this one has more signifigance. The lone bird flying off into the sunset is perhaps meant to portray Don's spirit on it's way to a brighter, more wonderful life. Good luck on your journey, old friend. The painting is in the collection of the Bartels family of Staten Island, New York.
