TGIF
WOOT!! It is finally Friday. Unfortunately, I have so much to do in the next 2 weeks it is crazy!! Oh, well it IS Friday. And tonight is the last band concert of the year. *tear So this week has been pretty darn super. I spent Sunday through Wednesday awake since I had 2 papers to write, but then I have been just chilling since then. And last night was the end of FRIENDS:-( How sad. It was so surreal to be watching it and knowing that there is not going to be another new episode. I am going to need to buy all the seasons on DVD eventually.

So it has been a while since I last wrote, and since then I have been working at the Big WOW!! aka Valleyfair. It is going to be a great season, I have had so much fun with training that I am excited for the park to open. All the people there are awesome. So if you don't have a job, I would recommend Valleyfair if you are going to be in the area, and if you aren't, then there is on-site housing. So last weekend at training, I walked up the lift of Wildthing. It is so beautiful up there!! You can see for miles. Granted it took me a long time to get up there because I am afraid of hieghts, but it was awesome once I was there!! Oh how I love Wildthing!!!

Enough about Valleyfair, I can't believe that the semester is almost over. Just 5 days of classes left and then finals. It is so exciting and yet scary. It means that I am half way done with my college education. How scary!! But I am totally excited, no doubt. All I know is that the next two weeks are either going to be a blast or way too freakin stressful with all the things I need to get done. But I am trying not to worry about them, just taking everything one thing at a time. Woot for the end of the school year. And in three months from now, I am going to be extremely excited to be going back to school, cause I do love it here at University of St. Thomas!!

Happy Easter Monday!
Ok, so I was just thinking, why is it that Catholic Schools get Easter Monday off? Why is Easter Monday so special. I just haven't quite figured that one out, so if anyone knows, will you let me know? I am not complaining that I didn't have class today. I mean, I thought it was great!!! I got to sleep in a little, I got my paper done and did some grocery shopping. It was all good.

Today I rediscovered End of the World! It is such a great cartoon! If you ever here me say WTF Mate, that is what I got it from. It used to be on my favorites but then the link stopped working, so I went and looked for it today and found it and now I am going to share it with you.

Thats the link for it, take a look and I am sure you will enjoy it.

MURPHEY sucks ass!!!!
I HATE the new Murphey online!!!!! For all you none St. Thomas people, that is our online registration system. It sucks ass!!! I want the old system back. It would make my life so much simpler. I think I have an idea now about how the site works, but it still sucks. It took forever to find the classes I wanted and I still haven't decided how I am going to arrange my schedule. But I think I have all the possibilities set.

And to mess with my planning, my mom threw a fast one at me. She told me I cannot study abroad next January in Australia. I have to go study in Australia for at least a semester. My mom told me I HAVE to study abroad. I think she is trying to get me to move away. I think she knows it is going to happen anyway, she is just speeding it along. I mean, I have always wanted to study abraod. But I keep backing out. So, to prevent future backing out, I am meeting with a Internation Education advisor on the Tuesday when I get back from Easter break. So University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia, here I come (but not until 2005)!

Man I HATE this part of the semester. It is so freakin crazy and stressful. I mean, I have 2 papers due next week, gave a presentation today, have a quiz on Wednesday, a paper being assigned tomorrow, and one being assigned next Wednesday, plus a whole lot of meetings with advisor's and registration. I think registration is my favorite part of this time of semester. I like looking forward to a fresh start, it makes me happy and want to work harder. I think I need to establish a better work habit, at least in regards to homework, but I think that goal is coming along.

And now since I have bored you with my complaining, I think I see a trend in my blog: I like to complain. So lets try something new! It was absolutely beautiful out the past three days. I made as many excuses as I could in order to spend time outside. I went on walks, took the long way between classes and walked places instead of calling on the phone. And yesterday when I was up on the quad, the beginings of Dowling beach were forming. All the guys were out playing frisbee and there were a couple groups of girls on blankets with their shirts rolled up and shorts on trying to catch some sun. It was great. I think I should bring a lawn chair back from Easter and start a Grand Ave beach. I don't think it will be all that popular, but it would be fun. YAY for beautiful weather!!!!

relief
have you ever had the feeling that tons of pressure has just been removed from your back? Well, that is what I am feeling right now. And I want to enjoy it for as long as I can until all the pressure and stress comes right back. I just got done with my econometrics Midterm. Econometrics is Statistics based economics, it majorly sucks ass. But I am done with the test and will be happy if I pass. But if I don't pass, which I don't think is likely, I will cry and not be as fun of a person because it will mean my GPA is officially dead. Granted, GPA isn't everything, but it is something, and I need it to stay above 3.3 to stay in honors and it is inportant to me to graduate as part of the honors program. Yeah, that is something I really want. But for the time being I am relieved that the test is done. And later tonight the reality of all the homework I have to do will set back in and I will be a stressed mess again for at least another two plus weeks. Oh well, life goes on. And I have my own room next year. And it is only 3 more days until Easter break!!

room lottery
Last night was SO stressful with the room lottery and all, I could not concentrate on anyting. So this is what went down. Caroline and I wanted a double in the Grand Ave apartments, but the last double filled up the time slot before us. So we put ourselves on the waitlist and decided to go for Morrison instead. But we needed two more people, so we grabbed my roommate Annie and her new roommate to make four of us. So we got a room with a double and 2 singles. This is all good because Caroline wanted the cheaper rate and I was cool with getting my own room. So it sounds like annie and I have the singles and Caroline and this random girl are in the double. SO everything seems good, I think. I am still not totally sure how I feel about the whole situation. I mean it is great I have my OWN room, but it will be interesting how this all pans out. I will be ok as long as I have my own room.

Welcome
Welcome to my site! I really don't know what to write here since I really am not all that funny and I have a fairly boring life, I will just fill you all in about what is happening in my life right now. So, I am a sophomore (junior by credit) student at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN. I am an economics major and I am thinking about throwing in international studies as my second major, but we'll see. Today is the room lottery for next year so I do have to head up to north campus in a bit to go select my room for next year. I hope that there is a double in the Grand Ave apartments still open! Then I have some studying to do. But what college student doesn't have studying to do? I am just one of those that doesn't study a whole lot, so for me to study, it is an occassion.

Ok, so I am new at this whole blog thing. I think it will be fun. First off, I would like to say that I think I made a "blonde" mistake in picking my username. So it told me to pick from the list and I picked art2 and then later it called that part of your username your state, so I guess mine should be mn3, but oh well, I am an artist and I like art so I picked art2. Also, I think I spelt Rambelings wrong, so once as I figure that out I hope to edit it.

If you didn't already know, I work at Velleyfair in the summer. And this coming summer I am going to be Team Lead at Wild Thing!! Wooohoooo, get excited. And I was informed yesterday by Randy that my Co-lead is Jason. So it is going to be a good summer I believe. Training weekends start in 2 weeks!!

Ok, well I don't have any stories to share with you at the moment, but if something interesting does happen I will be sure to share. Peace out!
