Concerning Hobbits

Hobbits have stopped travelling long ago and are now living
in The Shire , thats a rather small area in the West of
Middle Earth .

Looks :

Hobbits are the smallest people in Middle Earth .They will not
become bigger then 3-4 feet tall .The tallest Hobbit ever was
probably 1.4 meters .Size is not the only difference with other
folk .They also have a soft fur on their always bare feet .Most
of them also have a quite fat belly ,for they like party´s very
much and that includes a lot of eating .Just like the party Bilbo
Baggins gave .Hobbits don´t become that old in comparison to
other folk in Middle Earth , they "only" reach an average age
of 95 .

Habits :

Hobbits are probably the most cheerful folk in Middle Earth for
they like party´s very much and having good meals .In all the
time they existed they only fought one or two wars .So
you can say they are a very peaceful kinda lads .They
just like to have fun with the other folk and giving
presents .They have got a system that every time they visite each
other they give presents and every time they get visited
themselves they get presents as well .Hobbits have an other habit
too , thats smoking pipe weed .It´s one of their favourite
things to do and it takes some skills to do it right .In the
story there only seems to be one man who could smoke it like the
Hobbits do and that´s Gandalf .Going out for a walk is a good thing
to do according to the Hobbits and they like to do it every evening ,
but never outside the borders of The Shire ,for they believe
there are evil things out there.
