The January 17th Slam was a wonderful kick-off for the season. There was no
feature but the poets in the slam definitely put forth a show work coming back
for. With veteran poets such as "I am Jack's Raging Ego" and Julia Cannonball
going up against Neo poets like Lion's Mane and Shona the show was great.
Round one held 6 poets trying for the 5 positions in the 2nd round. In round two
the women held their own and eliminated two more men leaving, Julia Cannonball,
Shona, Marianne, and Lion's Mane to duke it out in the last round.
The January Slam winner was Julia Cannonball followed closely by Shona and
Lion's Mane. All of which have qualified for the final slam off on May 5th for
positions on the Knoxville Slam Team.
Make sure you come out for the February Slams.
