This car was a fifty footer. It looked
good from 50 ft. away but got worse up close. The owner
bought it at an auction where he couldn't get close. We're
going to make it look better and change colors.

It sure seems to take forever
to get to this point, but they sure go downhill from here.
I've always though that all the work should be done before
the first prime.

Customers always come in
after a few weeks and ask me what I've done because they
can't see any difference. By this point I've done all the
metalwork, gone through the insides to protect from further
rust, fit all the parts, and smoothed off any blemishes so
that it's now a matter of prime and sand, prime and sand,
and maybe another prime and sand, and then paint once. Rather
than needing 20 coats of clear to fix everything, I want
it right before paint goes on. There is such a thing as
too much paint.

If nothing else, I want
the pieces to all fit together with good gaps. So I'm triple
checking.

And ten points to whoever
can tell that is a Corvette and a Camaro in the background.

Still making great use
of this hokey little stand.

I painted a horse on the
hood and then another one underneath just for overkill.

Looks much better now.

Almost done. Just a few
more things to finish up!
