Take your art class to a whole new level with Collaborative Art Project!

Have your students' telecollaborate on a drawing with students from all around the world (ages 15 - 19). Four participants together create a piece of digital art without full awareness of the contributions of others.

Each participant has only one quarter of the drawing to do. The first artist when finished emails the bottom quarter inch of their design to the next artist. The second artist uses this strip as the top of his/her section, and when finished emails the bottom quarter inch of their section to Artist #3, etc. When the 4 sections are finished they are assembled to become one collaborative drawing at the end. The drawing is then posted online and the artists review the drawing and discuss the results in a discussion/chat forum. Themes that are relevant to the students will be chosen so that the artwork might lead to discussions between all participants about cultures, social issues, or more!
