River Gorge

In between Potami and Karlovassi is a small road. The road ends and becomes a paved path. The paved path ends at a 14th century ruined monastery and becomes a dirt path. The dirt path then leads you through a riparian (river) valley lined with shade trees with a chorus of crickets. This leads to a huge cliff that has a waterfall tickling down. It's a nice hike that gets you out of the sunshine and allows you to see something you don't see other places in Greece. The river supplies water for the trees, which supply the shade. Here are some pictures from that hike.
