Basic Supplies

Canvas- any size or form of canvas, canvas board or masonite
Brushes- variety of: white bristle, both flat and round- and nylon (or Sable for some artists)
(See Walmart's 7 piece art bristle and taklon set for under 5 dollars)
1 or 1/2 house painting brush
fan brushpallet knife
variety of things to apply paint, i.e. Sponge, tooth brush, cardboard
Pallet- foam plates and foil will work - Purchase professional pallet as needed.
Water and containers
Paper Towels
Paint----Oil Paint or Waterbased oils. If you have allergies or asthma water based oils are best.
Water Based Oil Paint-must at least have red, yellow, blue, black, titanium white, burnt umber other choices as desired.
Hobby Lobby has Max Water Based Oils and Windsor Newton Water Based Oils. A Set of these may be the easiest way of getting these supplies.
