This is a fine famille rose vase from the Early Republic of China era (about 1900-1920s). The figure with the big head is the god of longevity. And there are 50 different character representations for the word "longevity". Seal mark of the most famous Ch'ien Lung Emperor. This vase fits the epitomy of those made in the Early Republic era, of classic form and very old fashioned Chinese theme. Outstanding fine porcelain translucent in the light.

No chips hairlines or cracks. Sight wear to the gold. A rare & exceptional vase probably commissioned to celebrate someone's 60th birthday, don't think you'll find another. Don't miss it.
