Rise of the Panda
Sometimes, old problems will rise. In this case, it’s the army. An army of
pandas to be exact. They found themselves on the hunt. City or people?
The army gathered onto the training grounds. Their commander walked across the
stage.
“Comrades!” he shouted. The pandas saluted.
“Hail commander!” the shouted.
“At ease!” the commander yelled. His army went quiet. The commander cleared his
throat.
“The time has come to act!” he said. “We attack by sundown!” The soldiers
cheered. They didn’t forget Anna Jane, Teddy, and George should be their
prisoners. They could lead to Chronus after all. How could they get away?
“We shall capture the fugitives!” the commander shouted.
“Yeah!” his army shouted. It took weeks to track her down. Anna Jane went
everywhere. Now, she and the others were in enemy territory. This couldn’t be
more perfect.
“Attention!” the commander yelled. The troops stand up straight.
“Right face!” he shouted. The troops turned right.
“Forward, march!” the commander shouted. The soldiers marched out to their
destination. Their commander followed behind.
----------
Anna Jane and her friends would head out at sundown. She patted George on the
head.
“Ready to go?” she whispered.
“Meep,” the creature said.
“Shhh,” she whispered.
“Meep,” he said softly. Anna Jane smiled.
“Very good,” she said.
“Ready to go?” an officer asked.
“Yes!” the children said. He turned to his comrade.
“Everything set?” he asked.
“Yes, permission has been granted,” she said.
“Okay,” he said. “Let’s go.” The small party headed out the back gate.
“Um…” Anna Jane said.
“Yes?” the female soldier asked.
“What are your names?” the little girl asked.
“I’m Sergeant Patel,” the dark-skinned man said. “And this is Sergeant Ripley.”
The woman saluted at them.
“And you are?” she asked.
“Oh,” Anna Jane said. “I’m Anna Jane. This Logan, Vivian, Teddy, Snow White, and
George.”
“Howdy!” Logan said.
“Hi,” Vivian muttered. The sergeants smiled.
“It’s nice to meet you,” Sgt. Ripley said.
