Leo Kurkawa:

Leo is a sixteen-year-old delinquent. He smokes, is foul-mouthed, rude, drinks, and parties whenever he feels like it. His mother is busy in her studies all the time. His sister married out of high school and his niece stays with him and his momma most of the time. Leo's life was a drag until a leader of a gang came and shot him. Later, Leo awoke from the dead to find.... that he now shares the same body with a nymph named Kana.

Inuyasha:

Inuyasha is a half-demon (a hanyou). He fell in love with the priestess Kikyo, who guarded the Shikon no Tama. Though determined to become human, Kikyo and Inuyasha are turned against each other from the ever mysterious Naraku.

Though headstrong and inexperienced when he is awakened from the barrier placed on him by Kikyo, he gains much experience and power. He eventually turns more good then evil, aided in part by his love for Kagome.

Kana:

Kana is a water nymph. She fell in with Leo and decided to spy on him every day. But when he was killed, Kana decided to have her last moments with him. So she lied down on top of his dead body and fell asleep. The next thing she knew, Kana was in Leo's body. She doesn't know how she got in or how to get out. Kana is sweet and gentle. She doesn't likes fights and when Leo smokes.

Kagome:

Kagome was an ordinary school girl until she was attacked by a large demon that appeared from an old, sacred well in the back of her home. Transported to a mysterious feudal world, she frees Inuyasha in order to save her from the very demon that dragged her into this feudal era.

Through a hilarious "sit" spell, which causes Inuyasha's head to come smashing to the ground when Kagome yells "Sit", Kagome travels with Inuyasha in the search for the Shikon no Tama. She's very caring, but skilled with the bow, which carriers with it the power of a priestess that she has within her.

Mamoru:

A 14-year-old boy that looks up to Leo. Leo finds him annoying. Mamoru follows Inuyasha and co. around. He is a Japanese version of Blake and a childish version of Kuwabara. But Mamoru can fight. He and Inuyasha don't get along.

Miroku:

Miroku can only be described as a pervert. Though a monk, he'll ask any woman in sight to "bear his child".

He has his own motives, however. His father had a spell cast on him by Naraku, which caused an air-void to appear in his hand. Though his powers as a monk are powerful in their own right, his air-void is his most powerful ability.

Motoko Kurkawa:

Leo's irresponsible mother. Motoko is always studying, drinking, and partying. She is trying to regain all that she lost through her younger years while she was with Hyotaru, Leo and Hisako's father, by studying and taking on-line college courses. Motoko hopes and prays that her son won't end up like her. Although they don't get along, Motoko cares deeply about her son.

Sango:

Sango's whole family was murdered by a demon-controlled Lord, and her entire family of Demon Exterminators was killed before her eyes. Forced to fight her brother, she looks for him everyday, convinced he is still alive.

She's the most quiet one of the group, next to Inuyasha, and even finds herself falling for Miroku. Her demon-exterminating skills come in handy, and her cat-turned-flying-tiger helps them travel from location to location.

Alisa Jones:

Leo's old friend. Alisa and Leo were real close and he loved her. But she moved overseas. Leo talks about her a lot.

Shippo:

A young fox-demon, Shippo's father was killed by the Thunder Beast Brothers. He's not very tough, but he's determined, and he keeps everybody else pretty happy. He's still a kid, but he matures a lot as the series goes on.

His powers are very weak, although he can change shapes and use his illusion ability. He's not very serious, though, and he uses most of his abilities for jokes.

Hisako Temko:

Leo's twenty-seven year sister. She married her husband, Sawao, right after she graduated from high school. Now they are divorcing. Hisako has one daughter named, Raku. Hisako is constantly spying on her younger brother to see how he is doing in life. Leo doesn't enjoy that but he cares about her greatly.

Kikyo:

The original guardian of the Shikon no Tama, Kikyo was the strongest of all priestesses. But against all odds, she fell in love with the half-demon, Inuyasha. She felt that she could turn Inuyasha into a human using the Shikon no Tama, thus ending her role as priestess. However, Naraku made them fight each other, destroying any and all chances of this happening.

She's killed by one of Inuyasha's attacks, but is brought back to life by Naraku using a Shikon no Tama shard. She branches off on her own, essentially breaking off from Naraku's grasp, choosing instead to search out and kill Inuyasha.

Natsumi Tokaji:

Leo's sixteen-year-old peer. Leo kinda despises Natsumi's constant nagging and criticizing. He finds it annoying. But the truth is Natsumi loves Leo and deeply cares about him.

Kouga:

Kouga is the leader of a wolf-like tribe. He is a wolf-demon, but gains most of his power from the Shikon shards he has in his legs, which allow him to travel at extremely high speeds. His tribe was attacked by some of Naraku's underlings, and he vowed revenge.

He's the smooth-talker of the series, it seems, and constantly moves in on Kagome. This only causes a rough hatred between Inuyasha and Kouga.

Raku Temko:

Leo's six-year-old niece. Raku loves her uncle to pieces! Leo finds her to be spoiled and annoying. Raku stays with Leo and Motoko majority of the time.

Ran:

Inuyasha and Kagome's daughter and Mamoru's girlfriend. Ran is a priestess of water. She hates violence. A highly valuable priestess, Ran is a target for men of greed. She is a peaceful and shy girl.

Kenna:

Kenna is Leo and Kana's offspring. Not much is known about her except that she can't talk too well. Kenna is a bomb of cuteness.

Kristen Furlong

Age: 14

A fourteen-year-old runaway girl, Kristen has had a rough life. Leo feels close to because he sees her family and himself in her. He is trying to help improve her life.
