Physical Description: Mai-Ya has gray skin with light blue spots on the sides of her neck, shoulders, and thighs. She is of a lean build and stands 4'9". She has black hair that is streaked with blue, which goes down almost to her shoulders. Her eyes are very catlike, with purple irises. Her dreadlocks are the same color as her skin, gray, and go down to her upper back. She also has spikes on her elbows and knees. For clothing, she wears a black spaghetti strap top, that ends at the top of her stomach, and a tattered, black loincloth, held with a silver studded black belt. Her wings are black and feathered, like that of a dark angel. Her tail ends like that of a lion, with a fur tip, but light blue in color. Her identification mark starts at her belly button and then goes around her waist. She also has a tattoo of her name in Japanese on the side of her left thigh.
Background: Mai-Ya is usually quiet and mild mannered, always thinking before she speaks. She doesn't seem dangerous at first glance, but she can be very lethal. She carries mixed emotions about the Overlanders. She accepts some of her masters and even likes them, but others... she would just love to kill, not that she would ever turn on them of course. That doesn't mean that she doesn't think about it every once and a while. Very little is known about Mai-Ya's pre-Echidnoyle life, except that she came from a family with more than one child involved in the experiments. Mai-Ya is good friend of Nata-Sha, another of the 2nd generation Echidnoyles. They spend a lot of time together and Mai-Ya strongly believes that Nata-Sha is perfect for being the next alpha-female. In battle, stealth is one the tactics that she uses most often. This is relatively easy for her to do because of her genetic makeup of lion, falcon, and spotted deer. She is also very agile and graceful when flying and fighting. Although she's a good fighter, Mai-Ya doesn't fight or kill unless she has to. She's obedient and does what she's told, but she doesn't always agree with it. She's more emotional that some of the others, but she tries not to show it, because that could mean trouble for her.
Other: To go along with her genetic attributes , Mai-Ya likes to stalk some of the other 2nd gen., Echidnoyles. With a few exceptions, they never know that she's there. If she's feeling playful, she'll pounce on one of them and pretend to attack. She'll of course say that she's just playing around before they actually start to fight back. Mai-Ya also likes the watch the stars and spend time outside. She likes to feel the wind blowing through her feathers.
Special ability: Mai-Ya has the ability to mimic other creatures. Depending on the situation, she mimic their voice or do more elaborate things like mimicking their powers and attacks to a certain extent.
