Nick-names: Kei-Kei, IvyAge: unknown
Gender: female
Species: Echidnataur
Abilities: plant magic (things like summoning, and shaping)
Description: Female Echidnataur, who stands at 6'1. She has bright yellow green hair, which is long and wavy and held partially up with flower clips. Her tail is this color also. Her eyes are the same color as her hair. Her upper-body is light aquamarine, and her lower-body is terra-cotta. She has dark green hooves, and wears a top made out of leaves and vines. She also has a vine going around her waist and down her left foreleg.
Background: Hai-Kei was the second Echidnataur to be created by the mage of the Forbidden Forest. She is also Janne-Li's second in command, and closest friend.
When the mage was still alive, he taught Hai-Kei about the forest. About the plants, the creatures that lived there, and also about it's habits. He took special care when teaching about the plants though, he thought that the Echidnataurs shold be informed about their surroundings, and therefore taught Hai-Kei which plants were good for what, and which ones to stay away from.
It's because of this knowledge that the others come to her when they have questions, or problems relating to the forest. If it's something somewhat serious, then Hai-Kei takes it immediatly to Janne-Li.
Hai-Kei's nature is peaceful and caring, but also cautious. She usually stays near plants, that way she can conceal herself if necessary. You won't know that she's nearby watching you unless she wants you to.
Hai-Kei's able to conceal herself so well with the plants because of her plant-based magic. She was looking around in the mage's library one day, when she saw an old leather bound book that had leaves and flowers embossed on it. She could see that it related to plants, and thought that it might be important, so she took it to Janne-Li, and had her read the text to her. Janne-Li didn't know
all of the plant lore that Hai-Kei did, so parts of the book made little sense to her, but it made perfect sense to Hai-Kei.
With Janne-Li's help, Hai-Kei induced a trance that was talked about in the book, and it led her to learn all of her magic. This was possible only because the true magic did not come from the book itself, but from the vegitation of the forest. You merely had to be in the correct state of mind the learn from it.
Other: Hai-Kei is looking forward
to being mated to Lestat, one of the male Echidnataurs. Although her maturnity season is a ways off, they still spend a lot of time together. She finds great comfort in being with him, and loves to play chase in the meadows with him, Janne-Li, and Kalain.
