The following series of pictures were commisioned by a friend of
mine who was living in Hawaii at the time. The character
featured was to be the 'logo girl' of a website he was putting
together (now closed down due to circumstances beyond control).
The site was called 'Blue Bell Knoll', named after a
Cocteau Twins
song, and was to be a community for anime artists and writers.
Each piece was hand drawn using a mechanical pencil on Japanese
inking paper, then scanned and coloured and finished using PSP.
I particularly like the look of her dress, it came out very
close to the lycra/rubber feel I intended.
Her design was inspired by Japanese racing pit-girls.
