About Bernie Preblick |

Bernie was born and raised in New Jersey, but moved to Virginia Beach at the end of 1998. Bernie has 40 years experience in various positions in the field of commercial art. He worked as a staff artist for a number of well known publication and as a freelance artist in the New York Metropolitan area. Bernie has spent the last 10 years creating paintings from nature, photographs, and most recently a combination of electronic graphics and traditional techniques such as watercolor and acrylics.He has been represented in a number of shows here in Virginia Beach and has won awards for a few of his submissions.The artist has works represented in numerous private collections in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Virginia. The received a certificate In Advertising Design from the Newark School of Fine and Industrial Art, Newark, New Jersey. He went on to graduate with a BS degree in Art Education from NEW YORK UNIVERSITY. He received a certificate in computer design from the DESIGN ON DISK TRAINING CENTER, in New Jersey. He is a past member of the Tidewater Art Association and the Contemporary Museum of Virginia Beach. |
