Brush tip 5

When painting in oils, it is safe practice to use compatible oils and solvents. For example, if your chosen medium is linseed oil and turps, the cleaner used for your brushes throughout painting should be turps. It doesn’t matter what you clean your brushes with when your day’s painting is finished. If white spirit were used instead as a cleaner while painting, the residue would mix with the turps in the media and may cause a problem.
