I’ve been reading a book about William Turner. He’s one of those artists I was aware of, but had never explored enough to gain a full appreciation for. I left the house early on Saturday morning and walked down to Ong Lake with my watercolors. It was a brisk, but comfortable morning. There was a heavy fog over everything when I left.
I found a spot on the far side of the lake where two large trees had fallen in opposite directions from the same spot. It created a gentle V shape with the most wonderful bare tree on the other side of the lake in the middle of the V. The fog was thinning by the time I started and burned off rapidly.
