I was born Sandra-Anne Mott on the
6th January 1945, in Salisbury, Southern Rhodesia.
My parents were Douglas
Owen Mott and Dresdina Mott (nee Santowski). I had two brothers Anthony
Vivian Mott b: 01/12/1945 - d: 23/12/1950, and Gerald Owen Mott b:
23/11/1950.
My primary school was School
on The Air, a correspondence based education system where the
teachers broadcast to the pupils on the National radio station one morning
a week. This school was only for children who lived in very rural
areas.
We lived half the year on a farm,
and the other half on a mine very deep in the African bush, near the
border with Malawi.
I show jumped and competed in horse shows for a long time until I left
Rhodesia for South Africa.
I
have 7 children and 3 grand -children. 5 dogs, six cats and a long
suffering partner of 11 years named Kevin. |
