February 8
Damn that writing process... I have been writing non stop for about five hours. Vintersjälen looks like it could be finished sometime next week. Mörkrets hjärta, the second fic I've been writing today, is my baby. *s* A conquerorfic in swedish, of course. I enjoy storytelling. Especially in my own language. Because I can say whatever I want to say without using simple phrases that limit the meaning of the chapters. I could probably write in english, but it wouldn't be even half as good as in swedish.

Subtitles and dubbing. I am completely against dubbing and remakes of perfectly good originals. Some people think that subtitles are horrible, but I can't see why they are. Ok, it's always fun to see a film without them, but only when you know the language being spoken. In Sweden we're used to the subtitles. Dubbing is silly. Remakes causes the film to lose its charm. Subtitles are better than half a feeling. I grew up reading them. I'm so used to them, on both film and television, that I almost never think about them while watching. I'd rather see the real feelings play out in front of me, than listen to someone trying to make the translation fit into the characters' mouths.

What's happening right now:
Just cursing over the swedish Lucy Lawless club's magazine editor. In the latest rambling on his newspage, he claimed that all xenites who hated the finale were 'immature', 'hysterical', etc. and etc...

I'm mailing a lot these days. Four long mails/day. One of the people who write is a woman who completely hates this site. She thinks it's disgusting. Espescially the subtext walls and montages. She won't listen when I explain that this is a subtext-friendly site, and that if she doesn't like that she is free to avoid it. But no. She's not satisfied with that. She just has to have someone to complain about. It's her loss. ;) At least it's fun discussing with her.

Fun -but irrelevant- facts, part 3:
I've just realised how blue the walls in my livingroom are. And how cozy and comfy my apartment is. I love this place!

What's happening right now with the site:
I've remodelled the swedish fanfic section of the site. Figured it'd be a good idea to clean it up and make it easier to find each author. I must say it worked; the page is much cleaner now (sort of). More space...

I'm wearing my baseball cap again. And you know what that means... Yep. Correct. I'm doing some montages and walls for the site. I'm not sure when they will show up, though. Not yet. In a week or two. I've made some joke pics as well, mostly some cheap shots aimed at s5. Ok, ok! So I didn't care much for that season! But it had it's moments... ;)

The swedish version of the site is put on hold for a while. I've got too much to do and too little time to do it on. That always seem to be the case, huh? Well. It won't disturb any activity on this version of the site.

Carola Eriksson's fic Shopping with the Conqueror won the first Swedish FanFic Challenge award! She now has an award to show off. The official SFC award looks like this:

Nice, huh?

Uninteresting and boring stuff that's happened:

I've cut my hair. It's short again and dyed in a dark, dark brown colour. As usual, I both did the cutting and coloring. It's much more fun that way. And so much less expensive.

I finished as 2nd place in the SFC, with the short story Dr. Covingtons nyårslöfte, a story which I didn't feel was something special. But still, others did, and that's pretty cool! The swedish fans seems to adore Jan and Mel, since there was three J&M contributions sent to the SFC. All three did very good.

My mom and my brothers have been making me proud this last weekend. Mom rarely stands up to her boyfriend, and she argued politic with him for an hour. That was something to behold. And my brothers did their work too with that. Usually the guy always finds something with my borthers that annoy him. Each and every dinner. But this time they both argued back. Ah, I'm proud.

My dad is coming over for a visit next week! That'll be fun! I haven't seen him for a month.

This week's "To do"-list:

Sleep. One of my favorite hobbies.
Make some walls and montages.
Write the fourth episode of Krogen.
Work.
Do some Updates!!! (As always.)
Write the end of Vintersjälen. (I must do this! I just forget!)
Continue writing Mörkrets hjärta and Lost, found and Confused. (I'm working...)
Go to the movies and see LOTR again! (For the 7th time.)
