TREEBONES IS AN ORIGINAL CONCEPT. THEY COME FROM A GRAPHIC ARTS
BACKGROUND, FIBERGLASS SKILLS AND A LOVE OF BARREN WINTER TREES. THERE IS
NOTHING SIMILAR BEING DONE IN AN ART FORM.
Trees have a steel wire frame with fiberglass resin applied to it.
Acrylic putty is then used to obtain the final shape. After grinding and sanding
they are painted with primmer and acrylic paints. Some of the trees have pine
foliage and artificial flowering. The sculptures are then mounted in glass bowls and in wooden frames for wall hangings. The free standing ones are 12" to 21" high and weight 8-10 pounds. Most wall hangings are
19"x24.5"x4", weight about 10-15 pounds. Some Trees are mounted on or behind
Plexiglas .There is a colored fluorescent light behind the trees on some models.
