The Boy Magician

"We Who Would Fly"

Use click boxes throughout to control the music. Try it here because the controls vary with your internet browser and its version and with the audio "plug-in" you happen to have. Find how to stop or pause, how to start or restart the music, how to "rewind", etc. if those controls are present. Note that QuickTime fast-forward and rewind don't always work; you may have to click on the slider button and move it left as far as you can go to restart at the beginning, or click it off and then on again. With LiveAudio/Netscape3, the slider is a volume control. With Netscape 4.5, you must start the music manually (it doesn't automatically start). With Internet Explorer and Netscape 4.5, the music may not shut off no matter what you do. Sorry, but this area of web capabilities are inconsistent and non-standard. That's probably why you don't find sound on many web sites.
If the space just below this paragraph is blank, it means you don't have any audio plug-in, and must get one, probably by downloading it from the web (they're free). Quicktime is currently a popular plug-in that will do the job, works with most browsers, and handles video as well as audio. With some browsers, clicking on the blank box will direct you to an appropriate site.

--note that music starts at a very low volume--

Quicktime
is very good for most sounds if you don't already have a plug-in.

Many of the graphic and music files herein are big. Note also that music files are BIG files, and will take some time to download, unless you have BROADBAND (cable modem or DSL when it's working right). One piece of music herein is 1.6MB and the average is about 500K. Sorry, but the music is an integral element. There are Java-based compression packages but the loss in sound quality for orchestral music is disastrous. These are already AU files that are sometimes 1/10 the size of WAV files. Maybe when MP3/4 becomes more widespread for streaming...

If you don't want to wait for those big files to load, go to a highly cut down version at
