Holly's Poem for Caitlin

Her tears fall like blood from a cut
Raining down her brilliant features
I wish I could stop them
But they only flow through my fingertips
and I must wipe them on my jeans
To try and hide the blood
My heart tears itself
When it cannot fix the wounds she has
That's fathomless and invisible
My soul shrieks in agony with her
While my face remains pristine
And my hands bloody
And all the while she screams on
