Race Against Sadness
My race against Sadness has taken a turn
But it is not for the best,
I thought I had won,
I thought I could win
But Sadness, I found, has very swift feet,
My muscles are straining
My mind is spinning
I'm giving this race all that I have
But it is never enough,
The end feels so near
But Sadness just whispered
as it flew pass my ear,
"This race has no end."
