Deep in the Woods

Deep in the woods the crows do smile
and hackle and cackle with evil glee,
Deep in the woods with cruel guile
The wolf tries to hide so his prey won't flee

Deep in the woods the eagle cries
and sweeps the trees with easy grace,
Deep in the woods the snakes do lie
and slither away without a trace

Deep in the woods a river flows,
Deep in the woods the animals roam,
Deep in the woods is where I'll go,
Deep in the woods my heart feels home.
