10-6-02 What can I tell you, what a tremendous
opportunity it was for me and my company to be a part of this largly publicized
event...........This
notoriety is due to me winning the poster competition back
in 2001 during my tenure at Allan Hancock College
and the Graphics 113 class whom without this would
not have been possible. |

6-12-02 I was invited By Chamber President
Bob Hatch, and Chairman of the Board Dave Cross to display my freedom
movie as part of the opener for this years luncheon. What a terrific opportunity
for me. This was the very first time that any of my work was shown to
a large group of people on a large screen. This, most definately, is a
noteworthy event in my life........... You can click the picture to view a series of larger versions of images from the event or you can click here |

This photograph was taken at a release
party for a web site I helped to design at the Santa
Maria Discovery Museum on 12/16/2000 while doing a television interview
for "KCOY News Source 12." Wow what can I say this was a very
exciting time. They Didn't actually show this on TV, however what they
did show I need to digitize and will show here. You can click the picture to view a series of larger versions of images from the event or you can click here

This picture is not a relic from my youth but is significant in that it is my very first 3D environment created using 3D Studio Max 2.5 3D modeling is fun but very labor intensive. The ultimate goal of the artist is to simulate reality as much as possible so that the end result is not a picture that looks computer generated but a photograph. As far as
I can tell this is one of the first drawings, if not the first drawing,
I have ever done. I think it is of a haunted house. I do not know when
this was done but I do remember being very young. It was done in watercolor
on newsprint paper. Not very many artists can boast as to still having
some of their very first artwork. I am pleased to have found this.

This is another very old drawing.
I don't know which of the two pictures are older but these are the only
surviving drawings from this period in my life. This drawing was done
with a watercolor background, and the shark itself with a combination
of crayon. An interesting experament with mixed media for such a young
tike. Its amazing to me that of all the things I could have picked to
draw that "Jaws" would have such an impact on me as to inspire me to draw
this. Its always fun to look back at your old drawings and see how far
you've come...

Surviving awards from a bygone
era. Unfortunately what you see to the right here is all that survives
of the merit of my youth. Regretably I cannot show the bowling trophies
I won during the height of my bowling career as they have been lost over
the years of being in my care. What remains however is priceless and preserved
here.
