......To Know Us, is to love us......
Question: Shree's Answers, Anusha's Answers
> >Full Name: Shree
"My real one? Or the one I tell everybody it is??
hehe.....Anusha S. Sathe
> >Nicknames: SP
I have been called many names, nicknames from my friends.
Some of them still use those names for me, like Anamika or Ana, Simran or Sim,
previous chat names, and my current one, Ivory Rose. And my honey calls me some
sweet things too, like "Angel"....
> >Meaning of the name: Beginning of any good
thing, name of Ganesha and also Laxmi.
I was named after one of my aunts who had all boys and
wanted a girl, and the name meant "pure".. But I never liked the name
I was given at birth, and in August of 1998, I changed it to 'Ayesha', which I
understood to mean 'beloved'. Since that, I have made a permanent change to
"Anusha", which means "beautiful morning" or
"star", which is ironic because I am not a morning person.
> >Birth Date: 1 May 1972
Momma always said, there are two things you don't ask a
lady, her age or her weight, so on these grounds, I plead the lady thing. But I
will give you the month and day, it's May 24th.
> >Zodiac Sign: Taurus
Gemini.
> >Hair Color: Black.
Blonde.
> >Eye Color: Dark
Blue (my honey's favorite color)..
> >Height: 5' 6"
5' 5"
> >Personality Type: instinctive.. probably
most of the traits of a taurusean
Ummm, that's a hard thing to answer about yourself, so I
will try, I guess I am easy going, get along with a wide variety of people
because I accept them as they are. I had been alone most of my life--so somewhat
individualistic, but nothing out of the ordinary. Just a girl. :)
> >Location: Mumbai, India and Singapore
Born in Tennessee USA, but now in Singapore.
> >School: Atomic Energy Central School,
Mumbai
Happy Valley High School (it sounds more like a funny
house than a high school name) and then I went on to Northeast State. I wish I
could have gone on for MBA, but with no parents or money, I had to go to work,
or starve. And now that I am working, there is no time for school. Altho I did
go on to pursue knowledge in theology, for my own piece of mind and to answer
questions I had.
> >Future Schools: Where I could pursue
further studies in Quantum Physics
Ummm, that's still in future somewhere, unless I win the
lottery or some distant rich relative I have never seen or known about dies and
leaves me a legacy. But the only thing you can depend on is change, and as all
things go, anything can happen, and I can now see the possibility of continuing
education and going for my degree. We'll see.
> >Name Of college: Bharati Vidyapeeths
college of engineering
????? We can spin a wheel and see which one ends up being
the lucky one to have me.....hehe
> >Pets and their names: none, but would love
to have a Persian cat and a German Shepherd dog or better a wolf
Misty (born Jan 24 1986) and Bird=Chippy (Oct 1991). They
are my "children". They are still in Tennessee.
> >Brothers Or Sisters: Brothers, Parag and
Deepak
Sister, Theresa and brother, Paul. I do not know where
either of them are now.
And I have some friends I feel are as family.
> >Hobbies: Many things interest me. But the
best I like is reading and listening to good music
Collecting (obviously-from my web page), movies (have
personal collection of over 3000+ titles), music (adore it, wish with all my
heart I could play piano), my friends, my computer and of course, THE NET
(sufficiently addicted).
> >Things you like to do: Surprise myself
I agree, I am totally spontaneous, I have always said I
want to experience all life has to give, cause it is too short to miss anything.
And I want to do as much as possible. And obviously, I like making web pages. :)
> >Best Advice Ever Given: Be yourself
Given to me, or by me?? Given to me: my grandmother once
told me, that beauty was not just on the outside, that you also had to be
beautiful on the inside for it to truly last forever. I have never forgotten
that. And I always look for the beauty inside of anyone I meet, and love them
for who they are. It works. Given by me: I once had someone ask me my opinion on
a very very important thing, I told her to look inside herself, in her heart for
the answer, and she would find it there, because the heart cannot lie. She must
have followed my advice, she married him, and they have two lovely children and
are very happy. :) I felt good about that. And I have always remembered that
advice is as hard to take as it is to give. So I always give it from my heart
and with love.
> >Words or phrases you overuse: O Shit
"OK" and "Hang on a minute".
> >A non-sport game which you enjoy: Chess
Non-sport?? Well, I guess my non-sport game would be
computer games. :)
> >Coolest experience in life: Falling in
love
Falling in love. Love is just as much inside yourself and
it is anywhere else. It's also how it makes you feel and how you experience life
differently. Without love I feel there is nothing...but empty existence.
> >What you want to be: successful
Someone asked me this once, what did I want out of life.
And I will give the same answer now: To be loved and happy. The two things that
money cannot buy. But the two most important facets of life. And I got both of
them all at one time. : )
> >Favorite thing to do in Summer: I am a
member of World Wild Fund and like to go on camps organized by them, though
lately haven't got much of a chance for them.
Stay in the A/C. I am very hot natured and it drives me
nuts to get hot. (And here I am in one of the hottest climates on the planet.)
But weather permitting, I love exploring, especially the mountains, and
Tennessee had a lot of them. I am content for hours to study the leaf pattern of
a fern. I hope always to never let simple things escape me.
> >Favorite thing to do in Fall: umm.. guess
haven't had much taste of it.. where I have lived most of my life.
I like fall because it is a mild season, no longer hot,
but not cold yet. I love the leaves changing. I lived on a hill in Tennessee
facing another hill, and the view of the trees changing color was awesome. My
house also faced the sunrise, so it added to its beauty in early morning. I
haven't had a fall in Singapore yet, so can't say.
> >Favorite thing to do in Winter: stay
indoors... my favorite escape is a room full of books, an easy chair with Jagjit
or Lata Mangeshkar playing in the background.
I love winter, because it is not hot. I love the cold
crisp air. I am in my element in winter. I love snow, as long as I don't have to
drive in it. But don't think I will get much snow, or driving, in Singapore, so
winter will just come and go, without much change.
> >Special skills or talents: An intelligent
conversation turns me on.. I am good at marketing I guess
Skills? Talents? Well, I love to write. Stories, poems,
feelings. Perhaps I try to express who I am inside. And I like to make graphics,
obviously.
> >Character traits you most look for in a guy/girl:
A girl who is smart, bubbly, pretty and has long hair attracts me. Well apart
from the long hair, my Anu has it all..
Umm, I guess I looked for someone who is comfortable being
himself. I like outgoing people, people who smile, I just like people in
general. I looked for someone that I knew I could spend the rest of my life
with. Knowing that I will love him just as much at the end of forever, as I do
now. Know that the special feeling of falling in love will last, and deepen into
that bond that endures time and anything life has to throw at it and still be in
love. To see inside his eyes and know that I have found my soul mate.
And as for the long hair, it is getting there, inch by inch. :)
> >Things you collect: nothing much in
specific..
I have a passion for antique glass. I have an extensive
collection of it. I love the feel of the smoothness of the glass, the different
colors it comes in, and the way the light plays thru it. And just for fun, I
collect elephants. I love something so huge, but has the potential to be so
gentle.
> >Favorite music: Classical and gazals..
mainly slow and sentimental types
I love Mariah Carey. And all love songs, soft sweet and
slow. And anything that is good. But I do not care a bit for country music, it
just does not appeal to me.
> >Favorite Color: Blue
Red (especially burgundy) and purple.
> >Favorite Food: Chappati and Aamti or Dal
as it is called.
Indian food, spaghetti, pizza, chicken and anything
Mexican or spicy.
> >Least Favorite Food: Rice
Avocados, eggplant, blue cheese dressing, anchovies,
grapefruit and country ham.
> >Favorite Animal: Human Beings.. well as in
other animals I like cats the most.
All of them. But I really like ducks, they are cool. And
horses, my dad bought me one for my thirteenth birthday.
> >Favorite Thing to Wear: nothing
Ummmm, clothes....hehe
> >Favorite Vacationing Spot: Raigad, a fort
build by Chattrapati Shivaji, the great King of Maharashtra..
What vacation??
> >Favorite Sport to play: Football
: I am a idiot when it comes to sports. Forgive me.
> >Favorite Sport to watch: Cricket and
football
None.
> >Favorite Toy: my "thingy" ..my
Anu knows what it means..
My computer, and the remote control to my cd changer, and
well, I like Shree's "thingy" too...hehe
> >Favorite Subject: Alots.. I read anything
from Karl Marx to Freud to Astronomy, lateral thinking, psychology, humor and
science fiction.
Anything new. Anything that I did not know yesterday, or
five minutes before
> >Favorite Book: Many of them.. But the one
that made a great impact on me was "Asami Asami" By P. L. Deshpande.
Sonnets from the Portuguese by Elizabeth Barrett Browning
> >Favorite Cartoon: Tom and Jerry
Scooby Doo, Sylvester and Tweety, Tom and Jerry, and Ren
and Stimpy. Cow and Chicken and Two Stupid Dogs.
> >Favorite Movie: Where Eagles Dare, Pyaasa,
All James Bond Movies. Especially the ones with Pierce Brosnan. Out of all the
Actors I guess he suits the Bond's character the best.
Excalibur, anything with Meg Ryan, Nick Nolte, Cary Grant
or Irene Dunn. All the James Bond movies, especially the ones with Sean Connery,
and Pierce Brosnan. and zillions more, this to name just a few...and of course,
TITANIC and City of Angels. When I saw CIA, I just wanted more than anything to
be loved like that, with so much intensity. And passion.
> >Favorite Actor: Gurudutt
Nick Nolte, Cary Grant, Sean Connery, David Niven. Alec
Baldwin...

just to name a few

Sundays, and Nov 24 1998 (when Shree and I met first on
"chat") and Sept 5 1999 (when we met first in person) and my marriage
date (April 1 2000)
> >Favorite Month: May
May
> >Favorite Holiday: In my room full of
books, an easy chair with Jagjit or Lata Mangeshkar playing in the background.
Up until now, holidays have never held much interest for
me....
> >Favorite Store: wherever I can bargain a
lot
Mustafa and Tanglin Mall and the shops on Orchard
Road...and anywhere I go with my honey. But I admit, I miss WalMart.
> >Favorite Musician: Bhimsen Joshi
Ummm, don't know if I have a favorite or not, because I
love all music, except country....
> >Favorite Line: Prepare for the Worst and
hope for the Best.
"Passion remakes the world...It makes all things
alive and significant." "Not even poets have measured how much love a
heart can hold." "Love is a soul aflame with a godlike passion."
"O, there is nothing holier, in this life of ours, than the first
consciousness of love--the first fluttering of its silken wings." "Do
not live without me--let us share the joys. We are word and meaning, united; you
are thought and I am sound." "Love is a portion of the soul itself,
and it is of the same nature as the celestial breathing of the atmosphere of
paradise." "To love, and love well, is like stealing into
heaven." "Love is time and space, measured by the heart."
"Love is a symbol of eternity. It wipes out all sense of time, destroying
all memory of a beginning and all fear of an end." And last but not least:
"Always and forever. Always has no beginning, forever has no end. Eternity
and infinity, and beyond.
"Whoops, did you say "line".....oh well, couldn't make up my mind
which one. :) So I put them all.
> >Would you rather be deaf or blind ? umm
its a real hard choice.
That is a hard choice. You lose so much with either one.
If I had to make a choice, it would be deaf, I suppose, but it would be sad to
never hear all the lovely sounds again.....but at least I would not walk into a
hole.
> >If you found out your best friend was
gay/lesbian, what would you do? Oh that's a real hard one. But I guess I
would understand and accept it just as a different kind of human behavior. I
think its kind of weird. But life hasn't been able to surprise me much.
? Oh my, now that is one heck of a question. I have no
idea. It would depend on how best of a best friend they were. But I have to
admit, I find the whole idea disgusting.
> >Do you consider yourself a good listener ?
aH well definitely not
I enjoy hearing other people talk, so I hope I also have
developed successful listening skills. You can learn so much from listening.
> >Would you rather be short or tall ? just
what i am right now..
Short is good if you are a girl. I would like to be a
couple of inches shorter, but oh well, we have to be happy with what we are.
> >Would you rather be happy and poor or over
wealthy and unhappy ? obviously happy and wealthy
Wealth is worth nothing, if you are not happy.
> >Would you consider your relationship with your
parents bad, okay, good, or awesome ? good
Parents are deceased.
> >Do you like to dance ? like to yeah but
cannot
Yes, if I can find someone to dance with. But it has been
a LONG LONG time since I danced.
> >Are you too shy to ask someone out ? My
wife won't allow me to. :)
No, not really. But I wouldn't want to, as I have my Shree
now.
> >Do you talk on the phone ? yeah for
hours..
Yes, I love to hear my friends voices. And for the past
year, I have spent a fortune talking on the phone to my honey. It is much easier
now, he's in the same room. :) And the same country.
> >Would you rather take a walk or watch TV ?
take a walk
I very seldom watched TV, unless it was a movie. Now, I
watch TV with my honey in the evenings we don't go out. As for walks, I used to
take long walks, but had gotten out of the habit. Now I am getting back into the
habit, from necessity.
> >What is your dream honeymoon place ?
anyplace with my beloved..
Hawaii. But Singapore is very very beautiful, and everyday
here is honeymoon.
But the place is not important, the important thing is to have a honeymoon, and
with someone that you love more than anything in life, including yourself. Then
it does not matter where you are, anywhere is paradise. But of course, IF you
just happened to be in Hawaii (or Singapore) then, well, who'd complain about
that? :)
> >Who do you think has it worse, guys or girls ?
guys definitely ...
That is a good question, I guess girls will always say
girls have it worse, and guys probably will always answer guys do. Being a girl,
I would have to say that when the first guy has a baby, then he can truly say he
has it worse than a girl.
> >If you had a round trip in a time machine, where
would you go ? Future
Ummm, to the court of King Arthur, to see if there really
was a Merlin and an Excalibur...hehe. Or back to the time of Shakespeare, and
see what he was really like.
> >If you could be invisible for one day, what would
you do ? Nothing much.
Just be myself. i don't have any closet desires
Geez, only for one day.....ummmm, can we bargain for a
week?? A month ?? Alternate days ??
> >Do you like Adidas, Nike, Fila, or Reebok ?
Nike
Does it really matter?? A tennis shoe is just a tennis
shoe, some leather glued to some rubber with some laces and stuff.
> >If you could change your name, what would it be ?
I like my name absolutely.
Something different and interesting, that no one would
forget, ever.
Definitely something like ANUSHA SATHE. :)
> >Have you ever thought you were going to die ?
yeah. More than once.
Yes, ...well, let's not got into details, I haven't had
dinner yet. :)
> >What is the hardest thing about growing up ?
Rising Expectations
Well, I have decided that I will never grow up. I'll
always be a kid in a funny looking body...and Shree keeps telling me I am only
two....
...but to be serious, I would have to say, burying both of my parents, was the
hardest thing about growing up. Forced me to grow up very quickly...alone.
> >What's the most exciting thing you've ever done
on a dare ? I am yet to do things that require me to dare.
A dare? Me? Accept a dare? You got to be kidding. I am the
one who gives the dare....hehe
> >Have you ever gone skinny dipping ? what's
that?
Oh yes, many times. It's awesome. But you got to be
careful of getting caught...hehe.
> >Would you eat a bowl of live crickets for $40,000
? what's that again?
No, I would not....live or dead, I am not eating any
bug...for $40K or $40mil, NO NO NO.
> >If this Saturday, you could do anything you
wanted, what would you do ? Be Adolf Schicklgruber Hitler, and well not
for his bad but for his good qualities that I am awed by him..
Go to Disneyland, or Sentosa......ehh...could we make it
Sunday too??
> >Have you ever wanted to run away ? from
life? Never..
Yes. Many times. But where can you go to get away from
everything? The problem will still be there and you will still have to deal with
it sooner or later. Best to face it, get it over with and go on. Do what you
have to do. And I have faced that many times, first hand. And survived. And have
no regrets of it.
> >What's your worst fear ? Being caught off
guard
Spiders....I hate bugs. And heights.
> >Do you sleep with stuffed animals ? Not me
Oh yes, there are tons of them across my headboard in
Tennessee, I have everything from bears to elephants, snoring ones, some that
play music, talk. And my honey has bought me a soft one, for here, my
"bunny bear"...
> >Have you ever felt you were in love ? Yes,
with my Anu.
Oh yes. Absolutely. Not just felt, but known for sure, and
been overwhelmed and surrounded with it. And extremely happy with it. Nothing
else is like it, or even comes close.
> >If you were stranded on a desert island with one
single person, who would it be ? me and myself, well, if you are not
taking that, it has to be with my Anusha
Well, I had a friend, who was precious and very special,
and I have always said if angels ever walked on earth, I had one with her. She
was killed in a fatal car accident with her daughter. And I had answered this
question earlier as it being her I was stranded with, as it would mean she was
still alive, and I'd like that alot. But excluding that thought, it would
undoubtedly be my honey. I could not ever imagine being a moment without him,
here, or a desert island, or anywhere. So I would like to have both of them. :)
I am sure they both would get along very well, and I would have the two most
important people in my life with me, my best friend, and the love of my life.
But if forced to have only one, then it would definitely be my honey. .
SUMMARY: Thank you for hanging in till the
end. :) I guess you have noticed our similarities, and our differences, and
which of the two of us is the most "talkative". And that Shree seems
to be more comfortable with himself than I am with me, and that he is the more
to the point one of us, where I like to ramble on with feelings, but after all I
am the 'writer' in the family. :) And he would prefer to know the future, where
I would like to check out the past, then after that, I'd love to see what the
future would be like, but it would take the fun out of it, I'd know ahead of
time what was going to happen. And that he'd rather curl up with a good book,
and I would be the more spontaneous one, and either want to curl up with a book
too, or go out and explore "more input". And so our "alikes"
are cool, but the differences is what spice up our relationship.
Thanks for dropping in.
