OUR CHRISTMAS ELF

A Christmas elf played in my kitchen
And what a treat left she!
My nose began a'twitchin
To find what she'd left for me.
Like magic she'd slipped in and out
Leaving her love piled high on a plate
Chocolate chip cookies that were without a doubt
The best I'd had to date.
A hint of flavor from my past
The kind my Grandma cooked
A memory that will forever last
Cause I'm recording it in my book.
This little Christmas elf
Always gives love to others first
Rarely thinking of just herself
I'm so proud I could nearly burst!
She calls me friend; I call her "Kitten"
She knows that she's adored
Her only blind spot... for my son she's smitten
How I love it when she gets bored!
