Easy Scalloped Oysters

2 pints fresh oysters
1/2 stick melted butter
oysterette crackers
2 cans undiluted Snow's clam chowder
Fresh Cracked Black Pepper
Paprika

Drain and rinse oysters under cold water. Look carefully for bits of oyster shell and remove.

Melt butter in microwave.

Layer bottom of casserole dish with oysterette crackers. (If you cannot find oysterette crackers you can substitute saltines. Drizzle about half of the butter on crackers.

Place first pint of oysters on top of crackers. Spoon first can of clam chowder over the oysters.

Build second layer the same as the first. Top clam chowder with crackers and drizzle with butter. Sprinkle with fresh cracked black pepper and paprika.

Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes or until bubbly and slightly browned on top. Serves 4 to 6

(This recipe can be doubled exactly with ease.)
