Ramblings at the beginning of the month are at the bottom. Read in order of bottom to top. Yeah, it's a bid odd, but that's the way I typed them when they were on the main page, so that's the way they will be here.

Wow...four days without any rambling updates. Oops! Sorry about that. Just never got to it. Well, I just got back from the post office where I FINALLY mailed off the information on my world record attempt to Guinness World Records over in the United Kingdom. I know it's taken absolutely forever for me to do this, but I finally did it. Now, it's time to play the waiting game. *Taps fingers, looks at watch* What's taking them so long?? ~_^

I'm kinda bored right now.

Well, I just had a scary moment. You know how you get a head rush when you get up too fast sometimes? Well, I got up just now and I knew I was getting it but I guess it was too strong this time because I do believe I blacked out. Instead of falling forward onto my bed which would have been nice to do and not painful, I fell backwards and whacked the back of my head on a shelf of my entertainment center in my room. I'm fine now. Just a little sore. Nothing bad like blood or cuts or anything like that. But I don't remember falling. I remember getting up, getting the headrush, and then hearing my mother faintly saying something, getting up, and then sitting back at my desk rubbing my head. She came up with a worried look on her face and said she heard a sound like I had dropped my computer on the floor or something. Weird, huh? Guess I should be more active than sitting in front of my computer all day. I'll work on that. But don't worry, okay? I'm fine now. ^_^

Good morning, folks. Last night I saw Jurassic Park III. I am so glad my friends work at the movie theater and got me in for free because I'm glad I didn't pay a dime for that movie. That movie was so lame and predictable it was sad. My friend and I were predicting what was going to happen and who was going to die throughout the whole movie...and we were always right! Keep in mind, we had never seen this movie. But hey, it was free entertainment, so I guess you get what you pay for. Heh.

I completely forgot to do this. A little while ago, I got two more gifts from Presto Studios. While I was there visiting, I forgot to take home two things. Susan Weyer was kind enough to mail me those two things. She's so nice! They were an unfolded Myst III: Exile box and a wonderful large printout of a scene in Exile mounted on foamboard. While the post office didn't seem to care that the package said "DO NOT BEND" on it twice it still managed to get here in good condition. Pathetic post office. Anyway, the pictures are on the second page of the Presto trip description here.

Also, recently, I made some designs in Photoshop. I'm wondering if anyone likes them. Could you let me know if you like these designs below? Just email me.

Today is my parents' anniversary, so HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, MOM AND DAD! I took them out to lunch today and they enjoyed it greatly. ^_^ That felt good to do.

I've been busy with origami lately again. No, I'm not making such a big project like my Menger's Sponge on my Mengermania site. ^_^ Just a few small things. Below is a picture of some of my creations.

Good morning. Last night, I found out that I did not back up all my files and I lost 14 of my fractal designs due to an annoying CD burner that I thought worked. Goody. *sigh*

On a more upbeat topic, I have added two more pictures from my visit to Presto that I got from Susan Weyer that she took with her camera. One is of Ron Lemen talking to me about Edanna and the other is me looking at the bottom portion of the Edanna clay model. You can see them here. Enjoy!

I'm finally back! On Monday, I took my computer into the shop because I was fed up with not having any sound on my computer. I either got random periods of perfect sound, no sound at all, or odd-sounding static noises whenever I started up my computer. This has been going on for a month and during that month, I tried EVERYTHING to fix it. Including getting a new sound card. Nothing worked. I chatted with 12 technisions online letting many of them fiddle with some coding on my computer and talked with one on the phone the night before for three hours and still nothing worked. Hell, I even reformatted my entire harddrive! (Hey, it cleaned it out so I don't have all that junk that came with the computer when I got it!) I have like 5 extra gig! Pretty nice, huh? Well, as it turns out, it was as I suspected. All I needed was a new sound card. The thing that irks me is the fact that I tried a new sound card three times! *sigh* Oh well. Everything that was done was completely under warranty so the new sound card that's now in my computer was completely free. ^_^

Anyway, I'm glad to finally be back. During the three days that my computer was in the shop, I had to use an ancient and slow laptop from years ago. It only ran at 133Mhz! BUT, I made it through. It felt like three weeks instead of three days because I was so bored. This laptop could not handle any programs that I wanted to put on it so I could not do any of my designing that I love doing so much. I couldn't design any symbols for anyone or download anything.

Now that I have my computer back, I have been reinstalling all my programs that I had on my computer. I never realized how much I had on here! Plus, I have been putting all my files back on my computer that I backed up prior to the reformatting. That's an interesting task. I opened a file and noticed that I couldn't save over it if I change it. Why? Because it was burned on a CD-R and it was "read-only." Luckily, I found that I could select all the files in any folder and uncheck the "read-only" instead of doing them one at a time. ^_^

A note to everyone who has asked me for artwork: Have no fear! I'm rendering as I type this and I will be busy tomorrow making all the stuff you've asked me for. I'm doing them in the order I recieved the orders so depending on when you asked me, it might take a while to get your request. But you all should have your requests by the end of tomorrow. (Don't hold me to that. ^_^) For those who wanted it, there is a link to the Narayan symbols now in the left frame over there on this site under the link to my trip to the caves.

Whew! LONG update! That's enough for now! I'll talk more later. Good night!

Notice the date? It's Friday the 13th. Spooky. Well, not for me. Usually, these days are like all other days for me. Nothing special.

Well, I've been quite busy for the last two days with learning Flash 5 and making a certain file in it. I've created a chart of all the Narayan symbols in Myst III: Exile. It took quite a while to do all this, so I hope you all like it! I must warn you though. Anyone who has not finished Exile should NOT look at this if they don't want to be spoiled. And please, if you want any of the symbols you see, please let me know and I'll give you them. I only require one thing in return and that is for you to give me credit for making them. I've worked very hard on them and I don't want anyone stealing them. Enjoy! Click here for the symbol key.

Not a huge topic to talk about, but I've changed that image over there in the left frame of this It's no longer the "Creative intelligence discovers possibility" phrase. Now, I reads, (starting at the top and reading clockwise) "Wisdom transforms static societies." What do you think? Good? Bad? Drop me a line and let me know what you think and let me know if you want one. ^_^

Good morning. Boy, did I have a dream last night. It was so different in many areas. I'm going to try to describe it here and then try to figure out where the dream parts came from in real life.

It all started with me getting a very large wallet for a present. The wallet was more like a box because it was firm and in the shape of one, but inside it was a wallet. Inside the wallet, were about 14 tickets to Orlando, Florida. They all looked like the orange tickets from yesterday when I went to the Internet World 2001 expo. I thought this was the perfect opportunity so spend some time alone with a special someone. There is a beautiful girl that I have strong feelings for. For privacy reasons, I'll just refer to her as "K." I doubt she reads this site because she doesn't know about it, but if she does, she'll know who I'm talking about. Unfortunately, she does not feel the same way about me as I do about her. Oh well. Anyway, in the dream, I asked K if she wanted to go to Orlando with me and my family. She was shocked and I think she said yes. After that, for the duration of the dream, we never did go to Orlando. Odd...

Suddenly, the dream jumped to her and I going to her house. She said for me to follow me in, so I did. It wasn't a normal house. She went in, down a hallway, and into a room on the left. I was trailing behind thinking how wonderful it was just being with her right then which resulted in me not knowing where she went. I walked down the hallway wondering which door she went into. As I got to the end and turned around, she popped her head out of the first door on the left. I went in there. While in there, I noticed that it wasn't a normal room. It was like a big room with rows of computers in it. Kind of like a school room. We sat down at one and she said she needed help writing a paper. I asked her what kind of paper and what it needed to be about and she said it didn't need to be about anything in particular. So we had to start from scratch. This part was like yesterday when I was talking with a friend online in real life about a poem he had to write about nothing in particular. So K and I talked a bit and then some guy came behind us and started lecturing about something unclear. While listening, K put her head down on my lap and we both relaxed while I was stroking her hair softly. What a wonderful moment. I couldn't ask for better.

Then, suddenly, after K sat back up, the dream jumped to be being at Cyan's headquarters in Washington. I had a plastic spider in my hands and for some reason, I was determined to crawl on my hands and knees with the spider like the spider was alive and make it walk all the way to Rand Miller's office. There was a guard at Cyan's front door, but he let me in and I started crawling, getting very strange looks from everyone in the company as I went. Cyan's building was different than what it is now. It looked very differtent. Close carpeted hallways with doors leading off to the sides. Eventually, I found Rand's office after asking people where it was. He came out in an old worn-out t-shirt and laughed heartily at me. After that, I noticed some Myst memorabilia next to his office on the wall and asked him to sign it. While he was doing that, I noticed K standing still in the background behind everyone else just watching me with a smile on her face.

That's my dream. That's it. ODD dream, wouldn't you say? But I would give anything to go back to the part with K's head on my lap and me just stroking her hair gently. Wonderful. She's the type of person that makes me happy and content with life whenever I see her. Oh sure I've told her how I felt, but the feelings were never reciprocated. Nothing's ever going to happen between us unfortunately. Plus, she's going off to a college and I'm going to a completely different college. Long-distant relationships don't always work out. And I'd want to be with her. *sigh* As I say to everyone, "I can always dream."

I finally got out of the house today. My father and I went to the Internet World 2001 expo in Chicago today. It was interesting but cool. A lot of business types there, but we had fun. We got tons of promotional freebies! We got squishy balls, mirrors, slinkies, Silly Putty, magazines, highlighters, puzzles, cup, keychains, notepads, and TONS (and I mean TONS) of pens! Everyone hands out pens at these things. ^_^ That's all for now. ^_^

Good afternoon. It's Monday. Normally, I would be all grumpy because it's Monday, but since I'm on summer vacation, I don't care! ^_^ Those of you out there who have jobs and work on Mondays and who have a case of the "Mondays," I'm sorry. Tomorrow is Tuesday. Just think of that. ^_^ Another thing to cheer you up is the fact that MTV's Road Rules 10 premiers tonight! Yay! (If you like that kind of stuff. I do!)

Anyway, the main reason for this update is the small trip I went on yesterday. I have many online friends and yesterday, my family and I went out and visited one of them by the name of Scraper. She is one of several volunteers who help run the Timber Wolf Preservation Society. I had a great time seeing all the beautiful wolves. I also got to pet some of the incredibly cute little wolf cubs! Awww! Below are some pictures for you all to see what the place looks like and some wolves. Click on each picture for a larger image. Thanks, Scraper for letting us visit and giving us a tour! ^_^

Good morning! I have now uploaded the documentation of my trip to Cave of the Mounds. You can click here to read about it. For future reference though, the link will be in the left frame under the southern California trip link. Hope you enjoy what I have to say and show you!

Good morning. Today is going to be a nice eventful day. My father and I are going up to Wisconsin to look at some really amazing caverns. They look just like the ones in Carlsbad, New Mexico. For those of you who know what Mysterium is, you'll understand the significance of Carlsbad, New Mexico. It'll feel like I'm having my own little Mysterium! And don't worry folks, I will definitely take many pictures and post a nice little page on this site about it. I'm really looking forward to this trip. I can't wait! It'll just be my dad and me like the California trip. I will post a link to my documentation of the trip in the left frame of this site under the link to the southern California trip. Hope you're looking forward to it! I know I am!

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!! (To all those who celebrate it) Nothing much happening today there's a parade going on somewhere nearby, but we decided not to go this year. No real interest. But we will definitely go see the fireworks though! Can't wait for that.

Those of you who come here frequently may notice the new symbols over there to the left. After a good friend named Alahmnat online asked me to make him a phrase out of several symbols from the game of Myst III: Exile, I learned how to make phrases like that. It was a challenge, but I figured out how to connect the lines perfectly so it's all one continuous line. I'm very proud of myself for doing this. The phrase over to the left means "Creative intelligence discovers possibility." By the way, Alahmnat was the winner of that contest down near the bottom of the page with the three symbols. The symbols are named the following from left to right: Creativity, Love, and Time. Congratulations, Alahmnat! I just want to let everyone know who knows about those symbols in the game that I am willing to make any phrase you want for your site or personal use out of any symbols you want. There are 60 of them, so there's a lot to chose from. Think of a phrase and I'll make it for you. Free of charge. I love doing it. Let me know! I'd post a chart of the symbols to chose from, but I really don't want people stealing the images I've worked so hard for. Sorry, but I am proud of those symbols. You can email me and I will answer any questions you have about the symbols.

Yeah, I know It's late at night. You won't be reading this page until the day after I'm typing this, but I date each post the minute I type it. Not the minute I upload it. Anyway, I've done a little something that ended up being a major task. Every single image in the section about my trip to southern California now opens in a separate pop up window so that you don't have to keep hitting the back button on your browser. Plus, each and every image on this entire site has an alt tag. I just learned how to do pop-ups and alt tags. I know many of you out there know how, but I didn't until today. I'm quite proud of myself. I tried to make some of the alt tags humorous. You might also notice that the spinning trifoil thing that was in the left frame over there is gone. I was getting annoyed with it and I'm sure many other people were too. So I replaced it with a symbol. Nice symbol, isn't it? ^_^ The entire Links section has also been redone. I fixed up the nasty html coding in it because I originally made it with Netscape Composer. Ugh! Terrible program. I like Microsoft FrontPage and just hardcore html coding now. Much better. There are no more descriptions of each of the links because I didn't feel that it was necessary to have them. I need to update that list badly. I'll do it later. It's really late.

Tomorrow, I plan to fix the html coding of all my other sites so that it looks nice and clean. I also plan to add alt tags to all the stuff on those pages as well. It'll be a repetitious task, I know, but I don't mind. It'll make my site better overall, anyway. Well, that's all for now. It's late and I'm tired. *YAWN* Good night.

I've made a small contest for anyone who wants to participate. I've made three images which can be seen below. Whoever can email me first and tell me what the symbols stand for and where they are from specifically can have them all (if they want) for a desktop wallpaper in any resolution they want. Good luck!

Angelfire.com was having problems letting people sign in, so I couldn't upload this site when I wanted to. :P Oh well. I uploaded it now and I'm quite happy!

I have moved all the ramblings for the month of June into the Archives section if anyone's wondering where they all went. That's what I will be doing at the beginning of every month. Oh, and just in case there are people out there who still want to read about my trip, you can click here to read about it. That way, you don't need to go to the Archives section. See? Aren't I kind?
