Sometimes life may get tough
and I might lose myself
sometimes I might crack
but I promise you this...
I will never shatter.
You can beat me down
You can strip me naked of my imagination
You can talk be down to all your friends
or rob me of my idenity.
It might bruise my ego
and I might cry a tear.
But in the end...
I promise you this.
I will have no fear.
When I cry...
Its not a flood.
When I have fear...
Its not a nightmere.
When I crack...
I never shatter.
Bruises heal after time
and my ego will regain itself.
Life will bring itself back
and my world will once again
come back together.
One person can not take me away
can not take me away from myself.
The power the society has over everyone
does not compare to the power I have over myself.
