This guy was my very first hedgehog. I had wanted one for quite a while, and done quite a bit of research. At the time I was still a minor and living with my parents. It took some convincing but finally my mom let me get one. At that time finding a breeder was a problem. The only place that had available hedgehogs when I was shopping around for one was www.animalsexotique.com. Beastly was a dream come true. He was the runner type of hedgehog, not really one for snuggling. He would scurry all over the place and wouldn't sit still in your hands. I take naming animals very seriously and I had to find a name that suited my new pet perfectly. He was albino, and while I loved him and thought he was adorable, many thought he was ugly. This may be because he also had no ears. He came to me that way. There is villian in a few Carebear movies or tv shows by the name of Beastly. Thats where I got his name. It was very fitting and it just sounded cool. Because of where he came from, I don't have any pedigree for him. Nor do I know his exact date of birth. I never registered him, as I never had a need.
My precious Beastly died at the same time as my Confetti did. I don't really know what took them, but I was a wreck for days. I still get sad to think about it. Beastly was the hedgie that got me hooked on hedgies. I will always miss and love him. Please enjoy his photos. I wish they were larger but, I don't have the orginal files, just these smaller ones.
