Personal History before Adventuring: I grew up in a weathy family, I'll admit it. My father worked at an orphanage, where I spent most of my childhood, was fortunate enough to study, and where most of my friends are from. The time that I didn't spend at the orphanage, I spent with my grandmother who taught me about the lands around us. My mother worked in the textile industry and as a merchant... which I suppose is where a good deal of our money came from, although I didn't think about it much. One night my gramma told me this story about stars, and about how when each hero dies, they become a star so that they can inspire everyone else. The next day she disappeared. I keep hoping to find her someday and I don't know if she's still alive or if she's dead, I hope I can learn the answer to this someday. One night, when I had just turned fourteen, my mom came to me and told me it was time to learn the family business. I went with her and she admitted to me that she worked each night as an assassin. As a matter of fact, she was the head of the assassins organization in the town. I was terrified and talked my mom into letting me go for another year, but not without a fight. I still have the scar across my left arm from where she had attacked me. I succeeded in doing this for two years and when I was sixteen, my mother couldn't wait any longer. I was stuck going into the forest with her. That night, I fell asleep and awoke to the sound of shouting. I looked below to find a dead body laying on the ground and my mom standing over it. Terrified and repulsed, I jumped out of the tree and made my attempt to attack my mother for what she had done. I made my move, but then my mother was able to pin me down, and for my foolishness she cut my tail... hence why I only have about five inches left to my tail. That night when my parents thought I was asleep they fought harshly over my future. I couldn't hear exactly what was said, but I knew it was about me. That night, after I had known that my mother had gone to bed and my father had left the house, I packed my things, and set out to find my father. Sleep attacked me on the way out finding my father and I found a tree to take a short nap. When I woke up, I could tell by the sun that it was already late morning. I set off towards the orphanage hoping to find my father there. I walked through the forest on my way there and noticed, on a shrub near the path a torn piece of fabric that looked like it belonged to my mother's dress. A sense of dread overwhelmed me. I rushed towards the orphanage, hoping that I was not too late, but it was. I arrived at the orphanage to find my father's dead body laying near the end of the path. I knew this had been my mothers work, and I knew that she'd be after me soon.
I ran as fast as I could and set off on my new life. Just outside of the town I ran into Crispan, the little boy who I played with as a child. I told him that I had to leave home to escape the clashing desires of my mother and myself. He offered to travel with me as far as the next dutchy. Time passed and Crispan and I spent more time together living in peace. We became the closest of friends and then mates. Everything had been peaceful and quiet. There were two children, we were happy, then all of a sudden, one night, while we were travelling between towns, I was awoken to a familiar voice whispering in my ear. "Katara, it's time to face your fate and join me in the family business". I awoke to be staring into my mother's face, my sister standing right behind her. I refused of course. My mother knocked me unconscious. When I awoke, laying next to me were the corpses of my new family accompanied by a note from my mother and sister. "Katara, your family was standing in your way. You need to learn the importance of priorities. It's time for you to join us. We will find you again. Here is your punishment, we'll find you again and give you another chance" I felt the pain in my back and reached back to feel the covered wound from my mother's blade marking my back. I gave my mate and children their funiary rites under a tree and continued on my way. Tired, hungary, and dilusional from pain, I wandered for over a month, stopping in any town that seemed peaceful, to find food, or work for a place to sleep. Finally, one day late in the summer, I wandered into the town of Barnacus, and there I've stayed.

Adventuring in Barnacus: I came into Barnicus just after the war with Lytheria in 601. I found most of the people in town to be friendly, even though they had just been through rough times. I quickly found a place to stay and a group of people, who, strangely enough, started to look after me. Time passed, I found another mate named Mookot Firepaw (don't get me started) and I found a lot of close friends. I travel between Barnacus and Corvos, hopefully to be travelling outside of that area in the near future. I've had three more children, which for the time are being taken care of by my good friend Rah. I am now the co-leader of a small adventuring group in Barnacus called the Silver Twilight. I also just recently became a Golden Lion. That's all there is to know about me right now. I live to protect the lives of my friends and hope to become like those heroes in the sky that my grandmother pointed out to me all those years ago.
