Poems
I’ve always enjoyed writing poems, inspirational quotes, and short stories.
They can give a glimpse into a person’s mind . . . tell something
of their soul, or just prove the depths of their creativity. Whatever the reason I
wrote these for, I’ve put some of mine out for the world to see! Enjoy!! And if
you really take a liking to one of my poems and wish to use it for
whatever the reason, PLEASE ask for permission first. I put a lot of time into these
poems, and I won’t stand for them to be stolen.

A Poem of Many Meanings
Perhaps by chance I have stumbled upon your beauty,
Softly nestled between two towering peaks.
But how have you come to be?
The air around you is much too cold,
Yet here you exist beneath the sun,
Warmth in every flower, brook, and sea.
Perhaps a thing conceived by my imagination,
Put here as a haven for me.
A place to escape cold, harsh reality
And soften the blow of the spoken word.
Perhaps, if I may, you are not what I make you to be at all.
For sometimes, in a beauty such as yours, there lies a trap.
A trap of unmistakeable innocence that is not innocent at all.
And yet here I am hovering near like a moth drawn to the flame.
Perhaps I read too much into your simple beauty,
Maybe you are exactly what I see and no more.
But somewhere in the deep, untouched pools of my heart,
there lies a feeling of unknowing trust.
A feeling of uncertain fear.
A feeling of unparalleled want.
And maybe,
Just maybe,
You are exactly what you are
And no more.

Quote: “A shattered heart can only be mend by a person who will
love again and again.”
What is a Question
A question, hmm, a question.
It can be short or long,
Or it can be right or wrong,
Could it be stupid or smart?
What is a question?
Maybe it’s something you say when you’re confused,
Or maybe it could be totally blown out of proportion.
What about a statement?
What is a question?
I know,
It’s a mixed up thought looking for an answer.
Well, maybe a thing.
What do you think?
What is a question?

My love, you are my life, my soul, my very breath.
A strength found not in me, but in you, that you give without knowing.
You are the sun which rises over my heart, awakening my love for you,
which continues to grow.
My heart is your forever, and yours mine.
Joined, will form a bond so strong that only hatred in its strongest, purest
form can break it.
Yet even if we have troubles, our love will prevail in the end.

Quote: “What you do in life reflects what you’ve learned, how you took it,
and how it was taught.”
This next poem was inspired by one of the best series of all time: Anne
McCaffrey’s The Dragonrider’s of Pern:
Dragon Fight
Dragons ride,
Darkness nears,
People run, their hearts in fear.
The Red Star turns,
The silver rains fall,
Hide and cover, one and all.
Dragonriders
Come and fight,
Riders and dragons with all your might.
Sear the rain from the sky
As the Red Star passes by.
Victory won
For now, this day.
But the fight will come again,
Don’t run away.

The touch of love, the song of grace. And empty heart, and empty face.
A crying soul, a burning mind, all caused by the world unkind.
A whip of scorn, a brand of hate, a word of comfort come too late.
The song of tears come much too soon,
The words of hate dig deep wounds.
A young life gone much too fast,
The searing words, a killing blast.
Keep your valor, you might be next.
These preying demons, forever hexed.
Change is Good
The fear of change, sometimes too much to bear.
Often going on with out a care.
Yet then you notice you are lost,
where to go. . . was it worth the cost?
Just think again, find your path,
Know your goal and where it’s at.
Try your best to see the way,
It’s your life, don’t let it fade away.
