Aspen Mathews is an accomplished swimmer and was in the Olympics until she was accused of blood-doping. She has a very strong connection with the water and is always near it. She now is a marine biologist and is very accomplished at it. She got called for an assignment in an underwater laboratory called the DMD (Deep Marine Discovery). While there, there was an accident on board and many died, she survived though. That is when strange things started happening.
