Once your bones form,
they're ready to break,
You must have a heart
for you've stolen his,
As far as we've been,
We long to go home,
We can't find a way though,
we've travelled alone,
Why did no one warn the childLeaving the nest is nothing for free,
that to free a dove is to
send it out into a sea of cages?
A common bond among the ages,
The keeper of the birds is the reaper of the heart,They torture his mind and disguise their fool,
Time and time again he'll save us,
He holds the key yet mends the cages,
A common bond among the ages,
To heal in my heart
I must first learn to feel,
But now that I'm dying
I can only forgive,
And more than I know
I long for the home
that is farther away
each day that i grow,
Why did no one warn the childHow he functions like broken machines,
that to free a dove is to
send it out into a sea of cages,
A common crime among the faceless,
To live in this worldThose who have made it
you must learn how to kill,
To be free from yourself,
abandon your will,
(save the child,
run to the well,
you'll never make it,
the look in his eyes.)
