Drawings: Astrological and Myths.

Mars/Ares: The coming of War.

Pencil. 6 x 9 Inches. I was reminded after this was complete of a similarity to a drawing by Francisco Goya. The mythological giant who strides the land bringing awe and terror.

Saturn/Kronos.

Pencil. 6 x 9 Inches. This drawing won an award from Paterson Simms associate Curator of the Whitney Museum of Fine Art in New York. It was entered in the annual Small Works exhibit at Washington Square Art Gallery and among over 3000 entrants that year recieved a 4th place Honourable Mention.
Kronos is the Greek character also known as Saturn, Father Time, The Grim Reaper, he who cuts life at the earth and enforces the limitation of Time.

Piscean King.

Pencil and Oil Pastel. 9 x 14 Inches. Pisces has inherent in it all the qualitites of the preceeding eleven signs. As a result in the unconscious is a knowing that the cycles of life and lives are merely acts in a play. There is far less attachment to the single role than there is to the collective, and these people may seem disinterested or incapable due to lack of faith in the devotion or focus of living solidly in the here and now. King Neptune rules the seas, and his nebulous domain of fluid is the Piscean world. With his trident, twin half circles surmounting a crossed staff, he is content existing in a near formless world full of life and free of defining boundries.
